Day Hike - Lake Valhalla

Our route will be via the PCT from Stevens Pass, not Smith Brook Road. The fall colors should be out. The hike to Lake Valhalla has a gradual incline, passing through the forest, and two meadows to an alpine lake. The lake sits below the towering peak of Lichtenberg Mountain. We will hike at the pace of the slowest hiker. Nobody will be left behind or hike on their own.

Monroe Park and Ride 7:00 AM. Northwest Forest Pass is required at the trailhead.

The reason for the moderate rating is the mileage. Please make sure you are able to hike 11 miles when signing up for the hike.

The early start time will allow us to hike at a slow, steady pace to get to Lake Valhalla. There will be time to take pictures and catch our breath.

Plan on spending 30-45 minutes at the lake for lunch.
