Olympic National Park visitor Center in Port Angeles at 0800.

Strenuous hike, but not the full loop.  We will hike up to Heather Park and the broad saddle above it, continuing to Klahane Saddle if snow conditions allow.

Please note the meeting time. If you are coming from the east side of the water you will need to either take the very early Seattle to Bainbridge ferry (0610) or  better yet drive around via the Narrows Bridge in Tacoma.

Microspikes and poles required. You should be ok with possible travel on steep snow.  See the link for a June image of the terrain between Second Top and Klahane Saddle: Heather Park — Washington Trails Association (wta.org)(See the June 19, 2022 trip report).
