Meet at 9:30 AM at the Enumclaw Ranger Station, 450 Roosevelt Ave (SR 410)
We will consolidate cars at the ranger station, where no parking pass is required, and caravan from there to the trailhead via SR 410 and Forest Road 70. Our entire driving route is paved. Each car parked at the trailhead must display the Northwest Forest Pass or a National Park Pass. There are restrooms at both the ranger station and the trailhead parking lot, but not on our hiking route. Party separation bathroom breaks will be taken on the hike as needed.
Our hiking route will take us through the scenic Greenwater canyon under a forest canopy of both old growth and deciduous trees providing pretty fall colors. Mushrooms are often abundant along the trail at this time of year. The upper Greenwater Lake will be our lunch spot and turnaround point.
