Meet for the hike at 9:30 AM at the Sunbreak Cafe, 22 A Street SW, Auburn.  Those on the hike roster arriving at 8:30 AM will be provided a free breakfast entree  (valued at up to $20) at the Cafe.  Drinks other than water, any side dishes and the optional tip, will be the responsibility of the eater.  Anyone eating a free breakfast will need to participate in the hike.  But hikers may bring guests for breakfast who do not participate in the hike, if they pay for their breakfast.

From the Sunbreak Cafe we will caravan to the trailhead, which involves heading east several blocks to Auburn Way S, turning right on Auburn Way S and continuing onto SR 164 (Auburn-Enumclaw Highway), turning left at Cooper's Corner and left again at 188th Ave SE, parking along the road just before it reaches Green River Natural Area at SE 300th St.

The hike will meander through a scenic wilderness area, arriving around Noon at a picnic table overlooking the Green River, where we have our lunch.  After lunch we will hike to a salmon spawning area on the river and return to the lunch spot and a loop trail back to the cars.  There is a portapotty at the lunch spot, but not at the trailhead or elsewhere on the hike.  But there will be opportunities for bathroom breaks at numerous trail junctions on the hike.
