Day Hike - Green Mountain (Glacier Peak)

This is a hike to the lookout site with great views and wildflowers .

  • Pace: 2.00 mph

We will meet at the trail head , 8:30 am . Drive North on I-5 to the Arlington Exit (208) , turn right and drive to Darrington . From Darrington , drive North on SR 530 for 7.5 miles , turning right immediately after the Sauk River Bridge onto FR 26 (Suiattle River Road). Follow FR 26 , first on pavement, then on gravel for 19 miles, turning left onto FR 2680 . Continue 6 miles to the trail head ,near the road end ( elevation 3,500 ft) . The off pavement road stretch is not suitable for low clearance sedans  , and you will need to carpool . Carpooling will be discussed after the hike closes on Tuesday .
