Day Hike - Duckabush River

Dog-friendly moderate-paced winter fitness hike.

  • Moderate/Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,700 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2.0 mph

TBD - Olympia area.

Come join me on a moderate-paced winter fitness hike! Our objective for this one is the viewpoint on Big Hump - approximately 7 miles roundtrip and 12-1400 feet of elevation gain. If the group is feeling up to it, we will continue on to the top of Big Hump.

This is a dog-friendly hike. I'll be bringing our sweet blue heeler, Sazi. If you'd like to bring your dog, please email me. Please be prepared to be responsible for your dog's behavior, safety, and well-being.

We'll go at a steady moderate pace. The goals are to have fun, and start building up for spring and summer adventures.

We'll go rain or shine, however, if it's forecasted to be super stormy (high winds and pouring), I will reschedule for another weekend day.
