Meet at 8 AM at Sky Country Trailhead.

  • Permits: None!

This is a loop that will take us over a chunk of Cougar Mountain. The plan is to visit Coal Creek Falls and De Leo Wall. The route will include detours so that the hike is longer than it would otherwise be.

This hike will include some additional requirements in terms of what equipment you'll be expected to have. The weather is warming though Cougar Mountain has an elevation of ~1000ft and there haven't been many recent trip reports so we'll make up for this by having the proper gear.

Required:

  • Hiking Poles

Tentatively Required (may change though don't bank on it):

  • Traction Devices (e.g. Kahtoolas, Yaktrax, etc.)

Note: The actual route and length may be augmented during the hike to account for the actual conditions.
