Day Hike - Coal Creek
Join the Tacoma Hiking and Backpacking Committee on a great lowlands hike now that the weather is changing. This hike will take you from Cougar Mountain to Lake Washington via an inter-city hiking trail. Fun hike in which most of the time you do not even know you are in a city!

For those living in the South Sound, I can meet you at the South Federal Way Park and ride at 8am. All others meet at the Red Town Trailhead to Cougar Mountain at 9am. There is a Port-a-Potty at the trailhead to use if needed.
PARKING PASS: none required.
This is a fun urban hike in the middle of Bellevue that takes you from Cougar Mountain area to Lake Washington. We will enjoy a lunch break on Lake Washington and then hike back. For most of this hike you do not even know you are in the middle of a city but there is a short part of the hike on intercity roads for the purpose of going under I-405 to get from Coal Creek Park to Newcastle Beach Park on Lake Washington.
