Northwest Forest Pass required

Come with us on this long adventurous hike up the Taylor River valley on the outskirts of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Lisa and I will share some history and geology of the area as you quench your thirst for forests, mountains, and waterfall scenery in the heart of the fall season. This will be my first time on this route and I am excited to see what it has in store.

Pace will be on the faster side of moderate. You must be in good shape and have recently completed similar longer distance day trips. You will also need to be comfortable with short water crossings that may require you to remove your boots and cross with water shoes or barefoot. Please include a description of trips with similar conditions when requesting leader's permission to join this trip.

Trip will be rescheduled if heavy sustained rain is forecast on the days preceding or on the day of the trip.
