This route takes you up one of the most scenic sections of the Cross-Washington mountain bike route but it is all on gravel roads so mountain bikes are not necessary. It is a strenuos to very strenous route though with a lot of relentless climbing (4600 feet in 20 miles!) on very exposed and sunny ridges (think Enchantment views), ending at beautiful Haney Meadows for the night. Return via the same way or shortcut returning partly  on pavement (on Hwy 97- to be determined).

Excellent riding fitness required.  When asking for permission, describe your cycling fitness with a loaded bike and your previous training rides with long hill climbs similar to this.
