Tentative Itinerary
June 29 - Option to hike 5mi in the evening. TBD.
June 30 - 5mile or TH to Elk Lake 10-15mi/2600ft
July 1 - Elk Lake to Caltech Rocks. Including infamous ladder, moraine scree scramble and glacier.
July 2 - predawn start for 2000ft summit climb, including glacier and rock. Break camp. Back to Elk Lake.
July 3- 15mi hike out or option to go to one of the Hoh River camps for a more leisurely pace.
July 4 - Slow group hike out
Please keep June 30 - July 4 free in case we need an extra day to summit due to bad weather.

- Mountain boots that can accept crampons (not hiking boots)
- Crampons
- An ice axe (not technical ice tools)
- A sleeping bag rated to +20 degrees or colder
- A sleeping pad
- A back pack (40 to 60 liters)
