Back up for this trip if weather/NWAC forecast is noncooperative is the following weekend.

The game plan for this trip is head down Saturday midday and spend that afternoon getting tuned up for the skimo/glacier climbing season by practicing our T.H.I.N. anchor systems.  No worries if you haven't been exposed to them...we can run the group through them.  We can also practice crevasse rescue systems using a T slot ski anchor if folks want to and we have time.

Although we will not need harnesses/ropes/crevasse rescue for the climb,  we will use them for our practice session Saturday afternoon.

We will camp at our cars or sleep in them and then skin out for the climb Sunday morning.  As for pace, I always try to get to Muir in sub-3 hours and never seem to quite make it.  Nothing crazy, but no 1,000'/hour either.

AIARE 1 required

MSH can get wind hammered so participants should have ski crampons and know that they work with their setup (since every binding seems to need a different crampon!)
