McCarthy-Johnson SIG students have leader permission and may sign up right away.

6:45am parking lot, 7:00am boots on the trail. Discover Pass required.

This is a time trial for Basic Alpine students who must carry 20% of their body weight up Mt. Si in under 2 hours.  Pace will be fast with no scheduled stops.  This is not an appropriate first hike of the season. Priority will be given to current Basic Alpine Climbing students.

In your permission request please provide:

  • List all hikes since the first of the year
  • How much weight carried
  • Time to get to the top
  • Any other relevant details on your fitness
