Basic Alpine Climb - Black Peak/South Ridge
Route changed from The Fin to get further away from the Twisp fire. Black Peak is a wonderful introduction to Washington Pass climbing. It is a classic alpine climb with a few 4th class moves toward the summit.

Priority will be given to Intense Basic students until August 15, 2018. I'll gather the names of everyone interested in this climb at once, and then use a lottery system to determine the roster and wait list.
Rope lead priority will be given to past Intense Basic students who are now Intermediate Students and qualified to lead multi pitch rock.
I will not respond to leader permission requests that are sent before August 15, 2018 from anyone outside of the aforementioned priority groups. Please be respectful of this request.
This is part of an annual weekend Washington Pass camping trip for the Intense Basic students and graduates. Multiple climbs will be scheduled over multiple days. We welcome family members and significant others to hang out at camp with us, and we also will welcome you to get out and explore the beautiful area on any day(s) that you don't have a formal climb scheduled.
If you are a climb leader who is interested in participating in this fun weekend and setting up a few climbs to help our students graduate, please contact me! Intense Basic is a really fun crew; they're at a bit of a disadvantage because they finish the course work a month later than the rest of the basic course and have less time to get their required climbs in.
