time: TBD (will be notified closed to trip)

We will traverse a portion of the PCT - J section  between Snoqualmie pass &  the Pete Lake trailhead. We will walk across the Kendall Katwalk and by a number of high alpine lakes - camping next to a couple of them on our trip. We will encounter meadows, old-growth  trees, and stunning views of towering mountains.

This trip is part of the Intermediate Backpacking Program. We will cover approx 25 miles with elevation changes of approximately 5658ft. The general route can be viewed here.

Southbound Route (lead by Jacqui)  trip plan is:

Night 1 Camp at Spectacle Lake (from Pete Lake TH: 8.75miles, +1953ft,-523ft)

Night 2 Camp at Gravel/Ridge Lakes  (from Spectacle Lake: 10.14mi, +3384ft,-2348ft & to Snoqualmie Pass: 6.17mi, +401ft,-2747ft)

Due to only 2 nights on this trail - we won't likely be sharing a campsite with the other direction travelers - but hopefully would get to exchange keys and share a lunch/snack break with their great company on our middle day.

Northbound Route (lead by Janette) trip plan is the reverse of the Southbound Route outlined above.

This is an Intermediate Backpack.  Preference will be given to participants in the Seattle Intermediate Backpacking Program.  Others may register after March 1st.

When requesting permission for this trip please outline recent backpacking trips especially multiple-night trips, winter & Spring conditioning activities. Please let us know if you a route direction preference.
