8am Mountaineers Seattle Program Center - Cascade Hall

This one-day (8-hour) seminar will examine many aspects of leading a group outside. This is a highly interactive day that starts with a fun 90-minute challenge, followed by discussions and exercises that explore the following topics:

  • Leadership Types
  • Trip objectives
  • Knowing your participants
  • Roles & responsibilities in the group
  • Pre-trip & trailhead communications
  • On-trip Leadership
  • The Human Factor
  • Seeing the trip through

Participants who complete this seminar will have tools to set their participants, co-leaders, and themselves up for success.
