Tacoma Pathfinders & Explorers Kick-off Event and New Member Meeting

Tacoma Explorers & Pathfinders are our year-round adventure programs for kids ages 6-13. Pathfinders is for kids age 6-10, while Explorers if for those 9-13.  Activities include rock climbing, camping, hiking, snowshoeing,  Nordic skiing, backpacking, and general outdoor skill-building.

During the school year, the programs consist of 1 weeknight skills session per month,  and 2 weekend trips per month. During the year, we have one 3-4 one to two night camping trips and one weekend backpacking trip.

Explorers and Pathfinders members decide on trip goals, and spend the year helping plan and prepare for trips while building outdoor skills.

All new and prospective members are encouraged to attend this meeting to find out more about the program! Prospective members have the opportunity to attend the September Kick-Off trip for free before deciding whether to commit to Tacoma Explorers. The September Kick-Off trip will be to Exit 38 on Sep 23 for rock climbing.
