*** Trip initially open to Spring Hiking Students. Trip will open for registration to all Mountaineers 7 to 10 days prior to the hike date. *** We'll hike up the Copper Creek trail at the upper end of Lake Cushman and explore old mining sites. This trip coincides with the car camp weekend at Dosewallips State Park.

This trip is initially open only to Olympic River Rambler students. This is a short but steep hike, with 2,400 ft. of elevation gain, following fast-flowing Copper Creek. The Washington Trails Association has been doing a lot of work on this trail. We'll explore the trail, waterfalls, and historic mine sites as we make the short climb to a ridge that offers views of the Olympics and Lake Cushman.
