Join the Jr. MACers (and Explorers) on a 5 day summer trip!! We will hike, climb, swim, camp, and eat a lot of good food!

  • REQUEST GEAR BY July 17th

    • Climbing gear: Let the trip leader know or fill out sheet
    • Other gear: Submit your request to the gear library

If you'd like to borrow non-climbing gear, please submit your request to the gear library.

CLIMBING GEAR CHECKOUT by July 17th:

  • Alvaro will be driving the gear you requested up to Squamish to ensure we're not bringing any extra gear

CLIMBING GEAR RETURN:

  • Alvaro will return it

CLOTHES: PACK FOR WARM CONDITIONS DURING THE DAY

  • Clothes for adventuring during the day (layers)
    • Clothes for at camp in the evening (slightly warmer because it’ll cool down in the evening)
  • Sun Protection: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, sun shirt, etc.
  • Day pack
  • Hiking Boots
  • Camp Shoes (optional) 

CAMPING ITEMS:

  • Personal mess kit including: plate/bowl, utensils, cup
  • Camp chair
  • Tent (can be borrowed from the Mountaineers with advance notice)
  • Sleeping bag/pad (can be borrowed from the Mountaineers with advance notice)
  • Pillow (we’re car camping; might as well be comfy!)
  • Toiletries (restrooms available at campsite)
  • Headlamp/flashlight with extra batteries
  • Face mask(s)
  • Hand Sanitizer

FOOD FOR YOURSELF/FAMILY (OR GROUP MEALS): 

    • Breakfast: (x5) as Meal Pods
    • Lunch: (x6)
    • Dinner: (x5) as Meal Pods
    • Snacks: enough for whole trip
  • Water: 2 liters per person per day minimum
