Are you a graduate of the Introduction to XC Ski course and want to learn more? Are you an experienced Nordic skier who hasn’t taken a lesson in a while and wants to brush up on your technique?
This three-week course is designed to help you ski confidently with grace and style on more challenging terrain. It is taught by knowledgeable and friendly PSIA-certified instructors on groomed trails. You will refine your balance, glide, timing, rhythm, and power. Completion of the intermediate XC ski class provides the skill and confidence for skiing intermediate level and beyond groomed ski trails as well as the core basics for venturing off trail.
Prerequisites: Seattle Mountaineers Intro to XC Skiing Course or equivalent classic cross-country skiing experience.
When:
- January 9, 9:15 to 11:30 AM
- January 23, 9:30 to 11:30 AM
- January 30, 9:30 to 11:30 AM
If one of the field trips needs to be cancelled due to poor conditions, there is a make up class scheduled on February 6 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM.
Where: Classes are held at the Sno Parks, east of Snoqualmie Pass. (See the required equipment list for a link to purchase the required groomed snow-park permit.)
Cancellations after January 6 will incur a $15 fee.
