Watercolor Workshop - The Mountaineers - 2018

Exploring Nature Course

Watercolor Workshop

Watercolor workshop sponsored by the Seattle Naturalist Committee

Colors of the West: Watercolor Sketching with Molly Hashimoto.

Learn techniques for painting the natural world of the west. You'll sample easy lightweight materials to bring outdoors, as well as try studio methods for subjects like mountain meadows, conifers, redrock formations and much more. All techniques are featured in Molly's book, Colors of the West: An Artist's Guide to Nature's Palette, published by Mountaineers Books.

This workshop is beginner-friendly and will be fun, whether you are a novice or experienced.

We will have one 90 minute, hands-on lecture with Molly, followed by a field trip to the Washington Park Arboretum on April 8th to practice what we have learned.  The field trip will include some short, easy walking, but no hiking.

Please sign up for both the lecture and the field trip.
