CHS 2 Hike - Island Lake
We will hike up the old Mason Lake trail (following Mason Creek) and then on to Rainbow Lake and lunch/snack at Island Lake. Return trip will be down the Ira Spring Trail to our starting point. CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph)

Meet at 6:30 am at Tibbets P&R to carpool to the trailhead, depart at 6:45. We will carpool to Exit 45 off of I-90 and turn left and cross under the highway, then veer left onto FR-9030. About one mile from the exit, stay left at the fork onto Mason Lake Road, FR-9031. Park in the lot at the end of this road, 3.8 miles from the highway. There is a privy at the Ira Spring trailhead. Northwest Forest Pass Required.
This is an out and back hike starting from the Ira Spring Trailhead with an alternate trail down after passing Mason Lake. Details to be provided closer to the hike date.
