Meet at 8:30 AM at the North Trailhead in this Kenmore, WA located Park. A Discovery Pass is required for parking. More specific directions will be in the Hello Hiker letter.
This is a rollercoater. loop-de-loop hike in which we will either hike up or down all 5 trails in the park that lead to the shores of Lake Washington - hiking from the hills 400 feet above Lake Washington down to the shoreline under a dense canopy of Douglas fir, western red cedar, western hemlock, bigleaf maple, Pacific madrona, and cottonwood. The ascents and descents vary in distance from about 0.4 to 0.8 mile and in slope from about 500 to 900 feet/mile.
