CHS 1 Hike

Field trip: Conditioning Hiking Series

CHS 1 Hike - Cherry Creek Falls

Hike in a quiet, little known and infrequently visited spot, less than an hour's drive from Seattle. CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph)

  • Easy
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 5.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 700 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2.0 mph avg moving pace
  • 9:30am at Depot Park in Duvall where we'll consolidate cars. The group needs to fit into 2 vehicles.
  • Since parking is extremely limited at the trailhead, we'll meet at the Duvall's  Depot Park, near the Duvall Police State (26227 NE Stephens St, Duvall, WA 98019).
  • Marckworth Forest is made up of state trust lands managed by the Department of Natural Resources as a working forest. While there are plenty of routes to explore here, there are no signs or maps to guide our way. Because there's no formalized trail system, our experience here will likely feel more remote than many trails in the area.
