ABOUT BASIC BACKPACKING FIELD TRIPS
The Basic Backpacking Field Trip, or "student backpack", is the final scheduled activity of the Basic Backpacking Course. For most students it will be their first overnight trip in the backcountry. Student backpacks are usually single-night trips along Easy or Moderate routes that do not present any unusual technical challenges.
We will meet at the North Bend Park and Ride (331 W North Bend Way, North Bend, WA 98045) at 7AM on Saturday, June 22nd then will shuttle to the trailhead together from there. We will do a preliminary gear check and backpack fitting in the parking lot before heading out so we are ready to go when we hit the trailhead.
A Northwest Forest Pass or Interagency Annual Pass is required to park at the trailhead.
