Lecture 4 - we will cover anything not covered in Lecture 3.  Also discuss mountain weather, available apps, and how to prepare for snow travel.  Students will have read Chapters 16, 17, 22, 26 & 27 in FOTH and pages 51-73 in the student manual. We will have small group discussions on how to prepare for an alpine or glacier trip, what to expect, then transition to a large group discussion.

student manual and notes.  Students will be required to bring harness with belay device, gloves, Texas prusik system and carabiners.  You will practice tying into each position on the rope and know where the rope goes while traveling.
