Departs Saturday 8:30 AM from the Crystal Springs Sno-park. You will need a one day sno-park pass or an annual sno-park pass with a groomed trails sticker. You can use your own snowshoes or borrow a pair from Meany. (Add a note to your signup if you wish to borrow lodge snowshoes).

The morning is 3 - 5 miles with  500 ft elevation gain in last mile (approx 2 - 3 hrs) in a guided trek to Meany Lodge. A hearty hot lunch will be served around 12:30 PM. Don't forget to indicate any dietary restrictions when registering online.

We will leave the Meany Campus around 2 pm, for the downhill snowshoe trek back to the parking lot, arriving between 4:00 and 5:00 PM.

No previous snow-shoeing experience required, but you should be able to walk at least 8 miles at a medium pace.

If you prefer skis to snowshoes- check out our cross-country ski lunch-n-treks!

Required Equipment

Bring your own snowshoes if you have them. Meany Lodge does have extra snowshoes but you need to confirm ahead of time to reserve them.

Wear sturdy (rigid) hiking or mountaineering boots; tennis shoes and soft "snow boots" are not sturdy enough to attach to snowshoes.

Dress in layers to control your temperature, bring a hat, gloves, and raingear. Water resistant breathable pants are ideal, do not bring jeans.

Gaiters are recommended but are not required.

Hiking poles are recommended but are not required.
