Intermediate Leading on Rock

KItsap Leading on Rock Course. Teaches leading on bolts, single pitch trad lead and multi-pitch trad climb leading to give you the foundation to lead your own climbs.

We teach you what you need to know to advance from a basic level climber where you followed the lead climber to you competently lead mid 5th class rock climbs. We teach anchors,  climbing techniques, clipping bolts,  selecting trad gear, placing trad gear, block leading and swinging leads to provide you the tools to get into lead climbing.

Prerequisite: Basic Climbing Course graduation or equivalent.

The outdoor leadership course is additionally required for graduation.

We will add a second copy of each field trip if necessary to keep our numbers within limits dictated by Washington state for Covid-19.
