Meet at the Quilcene Ranger Station at 7:30am for carpooling if possible to the Mt Walker trailhead at 8am. Park along road or at trailhead as needed.
Demonstrate your physical conditioning and test footwear. Packs will be weighed.
Meet at Mt. Walker trailhead.
Directions drive 5 miles south of Quilcene on US Highway 101. Turn east onto Mt. Walker Viewpoint Road. Drive a short .25 mile to the trailhead. Pullover parking is on the left side of the road. Trail begins on the right side of the road.
Required Equipment
Students are to dress appropriately and carry appropriate equipment designated by instructor. Students are to wear supportive hiking boots for scrambling.
