*NOTE THAT THIS TRIP DOES NOT START AT TERRACE TRAIL***
Meet at 4:00 pm at Cross Town Trail by Beit Tikvah Synagogue at 7935 136th Ave SE in Newcastle. Parking on street. Following introductions, description of route and current trail conditions, plan to start hiking at 4:10 pm. There are no public bathrooms at the trail head or anywhere on the route.
We will follow a mostly counter-clockwise loop for ~3 3/5 miles total distance with ~600 ft elevation gain. We will start at the Cross-Town Trail, which will include most of the elevation gain in the first mile. We then connect to Terrace Trail and continue on to the DeLeo Wall. After this, a rather short but steep ascent to the Water Tower before we head back down. Instead of reconnecting with Cross-Town, we will head all the way down Terrace Trail then take 1/2 mile walk on backroads back to the trailhead. Please bring headlamp since may finish in the dark!
For a complete description of hiking with the Mountaineers, please consult the Hiking Standards.
