We'll stick together as a group on the main trail at about 2 mph until we get to the falls, and then stop for ~10 min for a snack. The 22 switchbacks up to the base of the falls wind in and out of tree cover. The last mile of the hike is over rocky trail (wrist size to household-pet size rocks in some places) - so hiking boots with ankle support are strongly recommended and poles suggested. Headlamp required.
