Field trip: Backpacking Building Blocks (B3) Course
Ultralight Backpacking Gear and Strategies - Outdoor Practice Camp - Saint Edward State Park
Meet with your fellow students to pack your pack and hike out through the park, then set up camp with a chance to try out your own ultralight gear, check out your fellow students' and instructors' gear, and discuss pros and cons. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ULTRALIGHT GEAR AND STRATEGIES INDOOR SEMINAR AND BE READY WITH AT LEAST A PARTIAL ULTRALIGHT GEAR KIT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PRACTICE CAMP.

The meeting time is TBD. The group will meet in a designated parking lot at St Edward Park, then the group will walk out into the park, set up and try out their gear and share with their fellow students. Then they will pack up and walk back to the parking lot.
This field trip is intended to give course participants a chance to field-test their gear, discuss strategies, and look at-ask questions about the instructors' and fellow students' gear.

A gear list and other instructions will be provided before the session.
