  • Moderate/Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 5.9 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,146 ft

Meet at the lower High Point parking lot (near the Cable Line trailhead) at 5:30pm. Boots on the trail by 5:40pm. Discover Pass is required for parking. There are no bathrooms at the trailhead, but there is one on the trail if needed.

Directions: Take Exit 20 (High Point) off of I-90 a few miles east of Issaquah, and turn south on 270th Ave SE. Just a few yards south of I-90, turn right onto SE 79th St and continue west. Do NOT go through the gate, but park just shy of it. We'll gather there near the cars.

From the lower parking lot, we'll start on the Nook trail, connect with the Section Line trail, then head to West Tiger No. 3 summit. We'll descend via West Tiger No. 3 trail. Bring a pack weight of your choosing, something that will challenge you, but allow you to keep pace with the group. We'll keep a moderate/1.5-2.0 mph pace and adjust as needed.

Headlamps required as we will be returning in the dark. This conditioner will happen rain or shine so bring your rain gear. Please also be prepared for  the trail to be muddy from recent rain.

If we've climbed or run together, you have permission to sign up. All others, please request permission and let me know what other hikes you've done recently so I know if you've done other recent hikes of similar elevation gain and length. Climbing and scrambling students are welcome.
