A practical application of the course material during a full weekend of touring and snow camping; includes building and spending the night in a snow shelter.

We will meet at 7:00AM at the Smithbrook parking area on Stevens Pass.  Directions and details will be provided during the course lectures.

Students will travel to the camping area in two groups.  The groups will camp near each other; it will be possible for students and instructors to travel between the campsites.  Final group assignments will be made during the course - it is not necessary to register for this field trip when enrolling in the course.
