6:30-9:00 pm.

We'll start out with the lecture and then move into learning and practicing techniques on the plastic "ice walls."  Attendance for the lecture and practice session is a prerequisite for the Alpine Ice Field Trip so please be there and please be on time.  Details about the field trip will be given at the lecture.

Please bring the following:

  • ice tools, if you have them.  If you don't, you can borrow some of ours.
  • harness with belay device and locking biner
  • belay gloves
  • helmet
  • mountaineering boots
  • crampons
  • eye protection (sunglasses are fine)
