Participate in Curbside Pickup

Note: at this time, we are not able to offer in-store browsing. We are open for curbside pickup ONLY.  Individuals who show up to the bookstore without an order will be turned away.

Step 1: Browse ONline

Use our website to browse Mountaineers Books and identify any Mountaineers titles you might be interested in. We also carry a limited selection of non-Mountaineers titles in the bookstore, available on request.

Note that the inventory online may be different than what's available in the bookstore. We cannot guarantee we will have everything you want in stock.

Step 2: Order Books, Maps, and Merch

When you're ready to order, call our Member Services line at 206-521-6001, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We'll take your order over the phone and you'll select a pickup date. We can accept orders on the same day of pickup as long as they're placed before 3pm.

Note: we may or may not have everything you request, and when you pick up your order we'll give you everything available.

Step 3: Pick Up Your Order

Arrive at the Seattle Program Center wearing a face mask and remain 6 ft. away from any other customers who may also be waiting outside. When it's your turn, we will invite you to the table. If we weren't able to find any of the books or maps you requested, we will inform you at that time. We'll apply your Summer Book Sale discount, take your payment, and you'll go home with your new items!

If you have any questions or would like further information, check out our FAQ below. If you still have questions, please don't hesitate to contact Member Services at 206-521-6001 or

Can I order online and pick up in the store?

Unfortunately, no.  At this time you have to call member services to place your order because our online inventory is different than our in-store inventory.

What if I can't make it during your pickup windows? Can I come a different time?

Our pickup windows at this time are firm for Tuesdays and Thursday from 3pm-6pm. We will offer more opportunities for pickup as  we're allowed to reopen as part of Safe Start Washington.

I don't see what I want online. Do you have it in the bookstore?

Maybe? Call us and we'll see what we can do.

I'm not a member, can I still participate?

Yes! Everyone is  welcome to take advantage of our curbside pickup and summer book sale.

What if you don't have what I want?

If we don't have the materials you're looking for, we'll do what we can to help you find them online or at another retailer.

Will staff be wearing masks?

Yes, our staff will be wearing masks and will practice regular sanitation practices.

Can I browse the bookstore? Or use the bathroom?

No, we are unable to open our facilities at this time.

You’ve got some great non-Mountaineer printed titles on your shelves, especially on Canadian topics, but there is really no way of knowing that unless we can browse your shelves. Could you maybe post photos of those shelves, so that we could at least browse titles?
