Winter Scramble - Round Mountain
Too much snow the previous week thwarted our attempt at the summit.

Slippery snow from the very start. Only got deeper the higher we went.
We parked at the hairpin turn at 1600' on FS Road #1890 and walked to the start from there. Could possibly have drive another .5 mile. But the snow/ice started on the road in Swede Heaven, and was getting deeper the higher we went.
Ascended the south ridge to about 500' below the summit and turned around due to about 3 feet of unconsolidated snow and a lack of time to get back to the road before dark.
A nice sunny day when we were out of the trees. Excellent views to the south of Whitehorse and 3 Fingers.
