The Tooth/South Face

Left TH at 615, Pineapple pass at 845, Summit 12-1230, base at 315, TH at 545. Beautiful day, patches of snow in Great Scott Basin. We were a party of 4 (all first time alpine rock) students and 2 leaders. We belayed two at a time off anchor. Very good option for minimizing impact, maximizing speed, and number of basic students. Saw one solo climber all day. Midweek is good for the Tooth. No need for axe or crampons, consider approach shoes for the entire trip.
