5/23/15:
Did this trip instead of a Guye Peak climb. No snow left at Alpental anymore. We started with the winter route (snowshoe trip route), but quickly realized that in the spring, the trail peters out and left us with bush whacking. After approx. 1.5 miles, we scrambled down a small creek till we reached South Fork Snoqualmie River. We successfully crossed the river walking over a fallen log, then headed NNE until hitting the summer trail (Source Lake / Snow Lake). We successfully reached the Source Lake Lookout after 2 hours of scrambling.
Visibility was low that day, but we didn't encounter rain.
Total trip time 4 hours with short breaks.
