Equivalency evaluation.

  • Calm. Light breeze, about 5 knots, out of the north. Light texture on the water. Overcast. In the 50s. Mild currents.

This was a scheduled on-the-water practical equivalency evaluation conducted for a Mountaineer member with prior kayak training and experience. The evaluation covered 6 miles of paddling out of Boston Harbor Marina and covered all elements present in the in basic sea kayak course including self and assisted rescues, general paddling knowledge and skills without instruction.
