Trip Report

Mount Daniel/Lynch Glacier

We left the trail head at 5:00am in light rain. The trail was covered by snow approximately 1/2 mile before Squaw Lake. The trail between Cathedral Pass and Peggy's Pond which we reached in three hours was mostly melted out but Peggy's Pond is still frozen over. All snow beyond this point. We traversed around the mountain and walked across frozen Pea Soup Lake, roped up and crossed on to the glacier on a nice snow ramp. We reached the summit in less than ideal conditions. It took a little time to find the correct descent route do to very poor visibility. Returned to the cars at 6:00pm. In spite of the weather a good time was had by all.
