Trip Report

Middle Fork Snoqualmie River

We hiked from the Middle Fork Snoqualmie TH to Cripple Creek Falls, which were quite lovely, 10 miles round trip. It’s been raining for days, so watch out for mud and difficult creek crossings.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • The trail is in generally good shape but very muddy in places that are quite slick. We also found 2 creek crossings to be quite challenging due to high water. Poles are really helpful and you’ll be happy if you have waterproof boots. That said, my husband was up to his knees in one creek helping people cross safely. It wasn’t too bad going out, but the creeks had risen by the time we came back. I led the same hike 2 weeks ago and it was a big difference.

The road is in great shape except for a short section filled with potholes. Why they didn’t pave this when they were repairing the road, I can’t imagine.
