Meany Crest

On 6/28/14, our scramble of Meany Crest was a very nice trip. We had clouds all day with light showers and sun breaks. We never saw Rainier in all its glory, but there were plenty of good views below the clouds. From Summerland, we went right around the cliffs, but probably continued farther to the right than was ideal. There was steeper snow and looser rock than I was expecting. For our descent, we went south from the little saddle just SW of Meany Crest. The terrain here is steep but not so loose. This made for a nice loop from Summerland.
