Lundin Peak/West Ridge

Our group of 8 set off from the Alpental parking lot at 7:15. We followed the Snoqualmie Mountain trail up to approximately 5400' then branched right, side-hiling a gradual rising traverse for about 0.8 miles, occasionally having to bushwhack through small stands of trees. We reached the base of the climb by 11:45, with 7 of us on the summit at 2:00 (one was not feeling well and waited out of the way at the base). The route was airy in places but fun, no snow and great weather.

After a short stay on the summit, we began our descent, reversing our route all the way out (with some minor variations - remember to stay high on the way out). All were happy and back at the cars at 7:45, 12.5 hours car-to-car.
