Intermediate Snowshoe - Skyline Ridge
Originally planned for Artist Point on Sat but heavy snowfall and avy changed it to following day at Skyline Ridge. All but two participants cancelled for a great day snowshoeing. Same elevation in less distance! Photo is looking towards Cowboy Mt at Stevens Ski Resort.

Fresh snow, safe travels up to lake, many people at lake and a few skiers. 31 degrees, calm winds, cloudy with bursts of sunshine, no snow/rain as was forecasted. Dug avy pit. No recent avy on route.
Feb 12th 2017. Hiked up to the ridge behind the lake, about midway to west summit and had hot peppermint tea and dark chocolate. As the remaining participants were also Scramblers, we intentionally went off-route on the descent - what a hoot!
