Intermediate Alpine Climb - Forbidden Peak/West Ridge

One of the 50 classic climbs in N America, for good reason! Good exposure, spectacular views in a wild alpine environment.

  • In good shape.

The gate on Cascade River Rd is now open to  TH. Crowded for a Thursday with maybe 20 climbers on the route. Straight forward from base camp, up the couloir with no crevasse issues. Couloir is in good shape for now. Camp to summit 4.5 hrs. Descending was a bit of a cluster and time consuming. Several car to car climbers, added to the people on route. Blue bird weather and good team mates  made for a good outing.
