Trip Report

Humpback Mountain Scramble

Great trip to a seldom visited peak off the I-90 corridor! Excellent rock and snow for skills practice.

We started at the parking area at 2500 feet around 7:40 AM. There's a right turn off the main logging road that has been flagged, but still easy to miss. Turn right at this point and basically follow the ridge up for a little under 2 miles. We hit snow around 4100 feet, above the second road (you can also begin the trip at this trail head). We traveled on snow for a bit, hopped across a boulder field, and then finished with a short, steep snow scramble to the summit.

This was a great trip with  fun company which included a mix of scramble students and leaders!
