Guye Peak/West Face

June 27, 2015 Instead of ascending the rocky stream bed, we decided to try an alternate approach. We ascended the talus fan to it's top near the start of the Improbable Traverse route. We then traversed left on a wide ledge, staying near the wall the entire way. Other than a few bushes and trees there were no obstacles. This ledge ended near the start of the wide ramp that leads back up to the right. I found this route to be more pleasant than the rocky steam bed mentioned in the route description. Fortunately we were in the shade for the entire climb and topped out around 11:30.
