Dixie (Peak 4,606)

This was a winter scramble on 12/27/2014, gaining 4,400’ in 10 hours. Originally listed as Koppen Mtn, a winter storm warning led us to instead attempt Dixie (Pt 4606) about a mile northwest of Teneriffe. We ascending the trail, then boot track up Serendipity Ridge. Snow was continuous above 3,000’. At 4,200’ we traversed across mixed terrain to the pass with road northwest of Teneriffe, over closed contour 5240, then north on the Ridge to Dixie. We were in rain all day, never really hard and not continuous but enough to soak our gear. We descended by the road to trailhead the last hour and a half by headlamp.
