The gate was open with several open parking spots. And the Walker trail was in excellent condition.
A great day with hardly any rain, just a few spits here and there! We didn't even need rain gear. Most of us did two rounds since the second was optional. We met a few other parties of two or three plus pups on the way up and down. The clouds parted and surprised us on both our summits with sun and views of the Olympics! Lesson learned: it's often worth going in spite of the weather forecast because the mountains may make their own weather!
Moving time: 4 hrs/35 minutes. 8 miles rt/4,000' gain.
